Vampirella: Blood Bath - Fake Cover

After watching Anna (TSWG) talking up Cecils Vampirella Cover, (an having done one herself) I just felt the inspiraion to draw this cover.
While I don't know the character well, really just basic knoweldge, I even came up with a premise....
Vampirella is haunted by disturbing deams; drowning in a pool of blood, feeling the thick sticky texture all across her skin, her desire to drink growing. When she emerges, gasping for air, she finds herself in an old stone circular room, statues of vampiric characters clasping on to victims between pillars. And an open ceiling that reaches high in to the sky, the bright moon the only light, and around her on the many levels, bodies of countless humans, Crimson fluid pooling from their bodies creating waterfalls of blood.
What does this mean? What is that place, and why is her hunger rising?!
