The Demon Gate of Konoha - Taimanin Hinata

               Few know about the secret of the Hokage mansion, it’s true purpose as a seal against a darker force.

Designed by the uzumaki to seal shut a forbidden Jutsu, the Hokage mansion covers up a mistake… a terrible responsibility left to the heirs of Konoha.

The gate was an experiment formed far before Konoha’s founding, an attempt to seek out greater power, by syphoning it from another world, instead it opened the world up to the terrifying monsters threatening the world.

It took many shinobi to fight back the horde, before the Uzumaki clan could seal the rift closed.

But it wasn’t permanent.

Every decade, the seal would weaken, and they would have to fight off the encroaching demons, until the seal is restored.

Discovering only humans that were female could pass through the gate, Kunoichi were specially trained to pass through and subdue any creature before it could pass through.

Many young kunoichi were lost; normal armour and weapons were useless, even the very air within that world had an adverse effect on them, and as such kunoichi were fitted with difficult to make chakra based fabrics, and weapons to help them survive longer while defending their homes.

After the uzumaki’s were lost, so was their techniques, and each decade since, it has been getting harder to re-seal the rift.

Tsunade sits at her desks, drinking a glass of sake, thinking, looking up at the moon, the seal was showing signs of weakening again… soon they would have to begin the ritual of sealing, which would open the gate fully for the duration, but until then, they would have to watch for minor demons escaping, and prepare their defence.

She recalled when she herself was called to service in this secret mission, stepping into the forbidden levels beneath her feet, to the cavern that held that ominous gate, chained and sealed, and the threats she faced… and the reluctance in having to bring a new generation into the fray.
