[Fic Intro] In Your Shadow
Added 2023-04-16 03:45:01 +0000 UTCIt's time for our final WIP of the month! The last few days of Bakugatsu will present to you In Your Shadow, my current pet-project/what I consider my magnum opus for the moment. Don't forget there are spoilers in this post, so watch out!
In Your Shadow is a canon-divergent fic wherein Izuku, instead of growing up with Katsuki and being in his class etc, is a few years older. While they grew up in the same town, given the age difference between them they never really crossed paths, and Katsuki holds some resentment toward him for taking the spotlight that should have been Katsuki's. Izuku was the first one to go to U.A., the first one to become a hero, while Katsuki was still working his way there.
I actually have quite a lot of chapters written for this one, but since I don't write chronologically, there are a lot of in-between chapters to write before I can actually publish it fully. For a hint at the length, I currently have 42 chapters planned out (some of them written) and the 42nd is not the end of the fic. So this one is gonna be a while!!
Fics like this are one of my favourites to write; much like Second Chance, I love to change one thing about the canon plot and mess with how that might affect the story as a whole. That might also be why I was disappointed by most of the Butterfly Effect movies, they didn't do it justice.
