To your point with there being tons of shows that have multiple seasons without people getting together, I agree but at the same time I think part of it is knowing that the plot line of most of these shows is mainly the relationship and typically there are no second seasons. Given those it makes sense that we are kind of trained to expect the couple to get together as them getting together is the plot rather than other things with romance as an added bonus and we know at the end of the show we won't be getting any more of these characters. Though I will say one show where I am definitely hoping they don't end up together at the end is My Stand In (pretty sure you aren't currently watching that one but still). Though honestly I would love more shows that are on the other side of the spectrum to where there are established couples and it is about life and issues handled together as partners. Most shows are really just about the getting together of people, but not a continued relationship, which would be nice to see. Though this show does better than most in giving those things as it has more dating stuff then most even if it is "fake dating" and they were not really together for it, and has an established couple in Yei and Cher.

2024-06-23 16:34:32 +0000 UTCAs much as we are talking about Yak's issues, I think a lot of people forgot Wandee's Dead Parents and his actually really bad trauma. Boy has abandonment issues. Especially with the words he used "dissappear completely". Ter was problably the only person aside from Grandma and his Friend that he got close to since then and now Ter is playing Games with him. Wandee is doing astonishingly great under these circumstances.
