It's so funny, because up until this episode, I ablsolutely hated Save and was super critical of him. But Joke's action in the last episode and in this, stealing the ring an giving it to Boss, made me look at Save's actions in a different, more compassionate way. This entire current storyline started when Hope was almost beaten to death by Boss and Save found him, which then was the catalyst for Save to start working for the Boss directly, to make sure that Hope wouldn't be treated like that again (he couldn't really bargain for their freedom considering both of them are in debt with the Boss and he won't just let them go because of a one time help from Save). Save then was asked to convince Jack that all his money was gone, because the Boss needed Jack to be desperate enough to go back to work for him, so he could use him to "pimp" him out so Rose as a ploy to get the ring. Important to remember - as far as we know, Jack's money is actually doing good! Save didnt steal his money, as far as we know! Save told Jack that his stocks were falling and that he had lost most of his money. Boss then asked Save, if that was true and Save answered "No, his stock is actually steadily going up. I lied." That also explains why Save hasn't repaid his and Hopes debt (even though personally, I still think stealing Jacks money, paying their debts with it and then slowly replacing Jacks money again, would have been a better bad option than working for the boss hahah) But anyways, Jack is now Boss' adoptive son and pursuing Rose, to get Boss the ring. Joke wants to get Jack's freedom, so he decides to work a job for the boss and steal the ring. He gives Boss the ring, Jack gets free. Both Jack and Joke don't have any debts with the Boss at this point. For all the other debtors, everything goes to shit - Save, as a debtor himself, is forced to draw up new contracts and give unwise financial advice to keep the debtors trapped. He does this things, still in fear for Hope's and probably his own life as well, esp with Boss's new power. If you look at all of that, Jokes and Saves actions are actually pretty similar - they both did stuff that was in their own interest to help the person they love without thinking about the dire consequences their actions might have on other people... The only difference is that Joke did it without being under Bosses control himself, while Save is trapped by the Boss through more than just his want to help Hope. I initiallly had only empathy for Joke and his situation until I reflected to myself why that was and decided that I was a hypocrite. So now, the way I see it is - both their actions need to be criticised for the harm that it caused, but both Save and Joke still deserve compassion. They are both simply acting out of love and desperation. Oh and about Joke's dad - I actually found it quite nice, the way they did it. It was always set up, that the way he behaves towards Joke isn't how he actually feels - so the building blocks were already there. And even with that foundation, it took multiple attempts, by multiple people to actually get him to a point were he got over himself and told Joke how he actuallly felt. And you could see him get there slowly, starting with indirect positive actions for Joke, like helping Ama get the surgery sooner and only then working up to him actually directly praising Joke and being outwardly nice to him. I felt it was a pretty natural progression. I am so incredibly sorry for my extremely long comment. I absolutely adore this show, I have so many thoughts about it, but no one in my actual life to talk about it, so I often end up writing insanely long comments wherever I can to get all my thoughts out hahaha I loved watching this reaction of yours, I always love seeing peoples different responses to the show, because you can tell that everyone is always influenced by their own life experiences! PS. Jack and Joke as dads is the best thing ever!!

First I just have to say that I loved this co-lab and second, even though I don’t want there to be a tragic ending I feel like there will based on all the foreshadowing that’s going on. Imagine Joke dies at the hands of Jack by accident because Jake did say that they had to kill Joker.
