I had to stop and start it (meaning: rewatched the first 15 eps) 3 times before I felt like I had a grasp on what the larger story was and then continue through the rest of the series. There is a playlist on WeTv/Tencent that is the "special edition" that is only 20 episodes ... but it is supposed to be a re-edit of the series to only the most important bits of the larger story and then all of the romance/bromance parts. I haven't seen that version, but it may be worth a watch/reaction.
