As promised, here's a bit of additional information on the characters that haven't already been introduced or discussed. (For information on Sol, the West Sphere dog, check my activity feed for November's posts.) Roan Bardia (top left) - West Sphere King, and basically Samsid's arch nemesis. Being right at home as the King in charge of the sphere whose specialty is human trafficking, he's obviously not an admirable guy. I won't say too much more about him because we're going to meet him in the current chapter, which only has about 10 pages left. Nora (top right) - She originated from the West Sphere and was previously a dog, but she was smuggled out by one of the South Sphere queens (Freya) and is now right hand to that queen. She's a very serious, calculating, ambitious woman, and she's not out to make friends. Basically, she'll knife you if you try anything stupid. She really only has a soft spot for two people - Freya and her estranged brother from the West Sphere. I decided to redo her portrait because her personality didn't come across right in the previous version. She'll still be the 9 of diamonds. Torrence (bottom left) - He's a North Sphere associate (that's the lowest ranking North Sphere tier) who's just starting to gain recognition after several years of struggling. It's hard for him because he's not really a people person. He's got social anxiety issues (and a nervous bladder), and his real dream was to be a musician, but that's not a lucrative job in the North Sphere. But he got a little more motivation after seeing his best childhood friend from the orphanage rise quickly up the ranks, gain recognition from the King, and become the North Sphere general. (one guess as to who his childhood friend was! ^_^) I decided to redo his card deck portrait because his personality didn't come across right in the previous version. He'll still be the 5 of spades. Damen Mercury (bottom right) - North Sphere King, very cold-hearted but charismatic at the same time. Also, being from the North Sphere, he's highly intelligent. He has respect for people with great minds but sees fighters and menial workers as expendable. I won't say too much more about him either because we'll meet him in about 3-4 more pages.
