$10 April 2016 Sketches 1-6

Lol, y'all are probably like "why are there five of the same picture of Merritt?"  I will explain. :)

Here are the first six sketches for April's $10 patrons. Sketches 7-12 and 13-17 coming shortly.  If you were a $10, $20.01, or $50 patron for April and you have a preference as to which sketch you want, post here and let me know. It'll be on a first come, first served basis.  I'm planning to pack these Monday to send them out on Tuesday, so let me know your preference sometime tomorrow (Sunday).  Otherwise, I'll send them out at random.

Also coming soon is March's $10.01 drawing, an update to the voting incentive gallery, and hopefully I can get started on a custom card portrait too.  There were a couple of letters from Pogo that were returned to sender last month, so check your private messages if you didn't receive last month's letter.  There's one person I have yet to contact, which I will do tomorrow morning.

This time around, I went flashback happy.  Lots and lots of young/past versions of people and stuff.  And I also totally have Merritt's back story on the brain, since I haven't been able to work on it much due to a crazy work schedule.  I also finally got around to designing his North Sphere uniforms for all his different levels in the military.  Merritt spends most of the story as either a captain or as general.  I decided to make his old design the lieutenant's uniform because it wasn't fancy enough for general. ^_^

The sketches are as follows:

1. North Sphere Merritt - Private's Uniform (basic uniform; low-grade fighting jacket is mildly resistant to cuts)

2. North Sphere Merritt - Sergeant's Uniform (basic uniform with cut-resistant shirt)

3. North Sphere Merritt - Lieutenant's Uniform (officer uniform: enhanced fighting jacket - cut-resistant and fireproof, single banded sleeve cuffs)

4. North Sphere Merritt - Captain's Uniform (officer uniform: same as lieutenant's but with epaulets and double-banded sleeve cuffs)

5. North Sphere - Balbo - Colonel's Uniform (officer uniform: same as captain but with a vest and triple-banded sleeves.  Merritt is never a colonel, and there's no major rank in the North's military.)

6. North Sphere Merritt - General's Uniform (highest quality fighting jacket, cut-resistant, resistant to some bullets, fireproof, quadruple-banded sleeves)
