Sometimes you just have to draw a thing
Added 2016-06-06 05:37:22 +0000 UTCI've been recovering from my 2-month crunch time by working on Merritt's back story. I'm up to nearly 109K words, between 3/4 and 3/5 done. And I don't know, I just really needed to draw something that sort of summed up the dynamic between Merritt and Belmont (North Sphere right hand). Sharing it with just the $2+ folks for now.
Oh, these knife-happy underground people... Merritt and Belmont make a LOT of trouble for each other during this story, but sometimes they make stuff other than trouble. Belmont is one of the most horrible people in the underground (remember Merritt's Q&A when he listed Belmont as the person he'd kill?), but that's why I love him. And I've even gotten to a point in the story where we catch glimpses of... non-horrible stuff? Argh, I wish I could just introduce him in DOTU already! Merritt's back story might launch before I get to his first appearance in DOTU.
I want to post another excerpt sometime soon, but it's hard to choose what to post. I'm sure there's a Merritt/Belmont scene I can dig up that isn't too spoilery. I'm also working on a post with more detailed info on sphere identifiers and one about underground military structure in each sphere.
I'll probably color this someday. lol, syringe is a little big though...
