Promo Art Thumbnail Sketch - Mightier Than The Sword
Added 2016-02-12 07:52:39 +0000 UTCI'm going to be doing some new promo art over the next few months, and I was reminded today of a conversation we had in the comments section of DOTU about a year ago, the tournament scene (chapter 2 page 49). And then I realized that I needed to do an illustration for it. Here's my preliminary thumbnail sketch - you saw it here first!
In case anyone was wondering about process, my first step in creating an illustration is to do a rough thumbnail sketch to get the overall layout, and then I roughly paint in the values and maybe the colors so I can get a sense of how the composition will look when it's done. So that's what I've done so far here. Next step will be to do a clean, finished sketch, and then after that comes coloring.
