Ik it's legit December 30th, but I would cry if you did a video on Interstellar. There may not be many light motifs in this movie, but if you study the score, it's INSANE and having transposed only 2 songs (a total of 20 pages), I have come to understand how integral music is to this movie. The musical themes in this movie are integral to the plot and it's movement forward. I love Interstellar, and it's music really makes it stand out from any other film that I've ever watched.

2019-12-31 03:18:51 +0000 UTCTwo holiday movie classics have similar four-note opening motifs: Grammy-winning "Believe" from Polar Express (2004) and "Buddy's Theme" from Elf (2003). They're not *exactly* identical, but they're really, really close. It might be interesting to talk about why two composers starting from the same motif end up going in totally different directions with their melody.
