Attack on Titan's Last Sasageyo

That ending really got me thinking...

Could just be a bad sub, or I misread it but I'm pretty sure I remember Eren saying somewhere in S4 (not the finale) that he's "attempted" it countless times so that's where I got that impression. Something else did just come to mind though after thinking about your point on freewill vs predeterminism (that's actually making me more confused). I thought it was a dumb detail to say Eren sent the Titan to eat his mom, but I think doing that solidified that young Eren takes the steps required to make it to the point where her recieves the memories from Historia which then solidifies the Rumbling. Thing is I don't understand when they're implying future Eren gave that order, because if they're saying young Eren did it that does undermine the show alot for me XD (Sorry if that's what you actually meant in the video and it just went over my head). As you say the more agency he has the worse he comes off.

If Eren had the ability to try this multiple times, they really need to elaborate how. I'm still not entirely sure what he meant when he said that. I think it's more about how he kept finding himself compelled to follow his memories, like saving that kid in the alley.
