Chapter 121: Strongest Punch in the World

After getting the Quake-Quake Fruit, everything changed. Certain actions that I didn’t dare do before became possible. A week had passed, and I had gotten used to my new Devil Fruit and there were no side effects. 



In actuality, I had just gotten a little taller and heavier. That was it. Though this wasn’t a bad thing either, as it increased my strength because of the clone’s muscles being fused with mine. Though that was only a small increase in power, as the clone couldn’t do physical training and had never done so either. But the most important part was that there were no adverse side effects.




Currently, I was on my ship as we went under the Red Line and arrived in the New World again. This time, I had Negan take care of the storms and huge icebergs that fell from the sky. I crept out of my ship, so no spy that might be in my crew noticed, and went the Red Line mountain.



I encased my fist in a white bubble and entered my awakened form. This would increase my power tremendously. I punched towards the mountain.



CRACK!!!




The air broke apart like glass, and the cracks seemed to extend sky-high. The Red Line shook and churned and cracks spread all around it like it was about to break apart. Immediately I went back, smiling at the chaos that caused up in Mariejois. Also, it should keep the Five Elders off my back.




Even if they found out I was the one who did it, then they should take this as a message the next time they decide to send an assassin after me. I might just decide to destroy the entire mountain next.



This could end up either being a distraction or a warning. Both of which I didn’t mind. True, there was Im that some who knew about him might worry about, but I wasn’t too concerned about that. After all, if the man was so powerful, he would have taken over the world already or defeated the Yonko. So with that in mind, he wasn’t some all-powerful being, even though he had a lot of authority to order some of the most powerful forces in the world.




As soon as I landed back on my ship, I went and landed next to Raynare in my human form and acted like nothing went wrong. Negan was also using his electricity to do theatrics while destroying the falling icebergs.



“So, where are we going next?” Asked Raynare, curious about the next part of my goal. 




I smirked at her. “Of course, we are going to Wano. My Yonko hunting has just begun.”




“Do we have the army to hold on to both Big Mom’s and Kaido’s territories?” Once again, she showed her foresight, and I liked this about her. Raynare wasn’t afraid to ask questions. And I might forget some things too. I was only human, after all. Though this wasn’t something I had forgotten.





“The men who will hold my territories that I will take from Kaido will be in Wano too. Also, the situation there wasn’t as peaceful as most believe.” There were samurai, and Kaido broke down the people Oden had failed. Those will be my new soldiers. Wano had a lot of development potential. Creating weapon factories on it, as Orochi had done, wasn’t the smartest decision.

Our ship’s speed had increased drastically because of certain modifications and Negan’s Lightning Powers. It only took us a couple of days to reach the waterfall, and we used giant koi fish to swim up the waterfall. 




Immediately we were in Onigashima’s water and I could see the island where Kaido lived. Gathering my power in my right hand, gathering the Quake-Quake Fruit’s ability, and transforming into my Emperor Form, I sent out the strongest punch I could.



CRACK!!!



BOOOOOOOM!!!




The sea rose in tidal waves around Onigashima and it would sing the island in one go if the waves hit. My power amazed me, true this was my physically strongest punch, but we were still quite far away. So causing this much destruction from such a distance was amazing. The best thing I had witnessed in my life.





Kaido’s dragooning figure rose from the distance and he shot a beam of fire, turning all of my tsunamis into steam. He also used his tail and covered it in Haki, to bash the Quake shock-wave aside so it didn’t hit the island. 




“You bastard,” said Kaido calmly. Because of his size, the voice was so loud that I heard it even from here. “Do you want to destroy Wano?”

I kicked off the air, creating flames because of friction behind me and leaving behind a trail of flames. Within an instant, I was close to Kaido, and he noticed me. “Heh, it’s you again, brat. You even went and got the old man’s power, too? If Whitebeard knew this, he would roll in his grave.”




He didn’t even seem shocked that I had a 2nd Devil Fruit. Well, he seemed surprised, but not shocked. It was like he had grown even calmer and his Observation Haki better since the last time we fought.



[Heat Breath]




A breath of hot, steel-melting fire came towards me. Normally, I would dodge or redirect such an attack. It was easier, and it spent less energy. But now that was no longer needed.




CRACK!!




The air cracked and broke apart into bits; it smashed the flame beam into a thousand pieces and the shock wave hit Kaido head-on. He used Haki to disperse the attack.

But I used that instant to appear behind him and smash him on the top of his head with my Quake power.




BOOOM!!




He slammed on the ground, and Onigashima shook. The buildings broke apart like toys and many people died because of the falling debris. Queen transformed into his giant dinosaur form and tried to jump at me, but I saw his attack 10 seconds before it even happened and I shot a quake shock-wave at him. The attack was fully powered and as soon as it hit him; it destroyed his mechanical arm and slammed him on the ground. 




Ancient Type Zoans were especially durable, but the Quake-Quake Fruit wasn’t something it could handle easily. So Queen passed out. 




That took one hit? My power again surprised me; it felt like my attacks were even more powerful than Whitebeards. Well, I was in my Emperor Form, which very few people in this world can match me in raw strength, and of the people that previously could, was now dead. Only Kaido that I knew of could match my raw strength now.



Fwosh!




Kaido sprang off the ground as I was deep within my thought and tried to bite off my arm. But as soon as his teeth sank into my flesh, a rhythmic Quake power entered his body, shattering half of his fangs.




“Aghhh!!” He screamed out in pain as blood came out of his mouth and he backed off, entering his hybrid dragon form and clutching his mouth. “The old man couldn’t do this. So you have learned some new tricks.”




Well, I haven’t had the new Devil Fruit for even a full week. But that didn’t mean I was bad at using it. Controlling its power was a little hard. Each attack had the potential to destroy islands, but in a battle, that wasn’t a bad thing.




Gathering my Haki and Quake power in my fist, I moved through the air like a zig-zagging bullet. Kaido tried to dodge, but I was already three steps ahead of him and knew where he would be. 




My fist landed right on his chin, my Haki went and destroyed his chin. This was a Garp-like punch with Quake power. There was nothing in this world it couldn’t destroy. Maybe except Poneglyphs as I hadn’t tried that yet. But Kaido, that was known for his endurance, had the lower half of his head smashed to bits, his mouth shattered into chunks of flesh, but my fust didn’t stop there and it went straight through his brain… killing him.

A/N: Max was confident of beating Kaido even without the Quake-Quake fruit before. Now that he had it, this fight had become very one-sided and anyone who might try to interfere can easily be smashed aside without interrupting Max’s fight or leaving an opening on him for Kaido to take advantage of.



P.S: (Trivia) The clones of Max are literally braindead. So they can't learn new things, or even exercise. Their have the intelligence of a goldfish. So no memories or experiences of the mind will affect Max, he will still end up being his true self after the fusion.
