This along with never ending story were basically my 2 fave childhood films and JV now done both makes me so happy. Going to have to think about some other old ones I loved and suggest them while on nostalgia feels.

I personally take this film over Small Soldiers any day too. Your analysis at the end was freaking spot on & you hit all the reasons why I enjoyed this movie as a kid growing into adulthood. Just beautiful messages throughout & the music is just epic. My stomach literally drops, I get goosebumps, & my eyes water every time in the scene where Little Bear tells Omri โI take youโฆas my nephew.โ ๐ญ
