Episode 2: Reading Club 2023

The first part of the year will be an in-depth reading of Martin Hagglund's This Life: Secular Faith and Spiritual Freedom (the UK edition's subtitle is "Why mortality makes us free")
The book advances key arguments about freedom and secularism. HΓ€gglund argues that our lives matter because they are finite. This condition implies a shared responsibility as social individuals to own the time of our life. As a consequence, we are not and cannot be free under the way our society is currently organised, under this economic order.
