February Dormitory Diary Entry - Ura

Hello everyone, Ura here with my dormitory diary entry for February. I recently started watching NARUTO again after listening to “Hero Come Back” by nobodyknows+.

I'm not exactly new to NARUTO, but now that I'm re-watching it closely, I'm surprised by the number of details I missed before. Episode 30, in particular, blew me away with the battle between Orochimaru and Sasuke and its seriously impressive animation. Not only that, but when I looked at the end credits, I couldn't believe it, but only three people did the key animation.

How could only 3 people produce such high-quality animation?! I’d heard that Kenji Matsumoto was fast, but this was beyond my imagination.

I often hear that the key to becoming a fast key animator is to first be a fast in-between animator.

That said, I've been struggling to keep up with the amount of work I have recently. I'm feeling a bit stressed since expectations regarding drawing speed have risen over the past year, so now I’m just trying to focus on increasing my drawing speed while maintaining quality.

Though I mention NARUTO, the drawings I did for this post are not of NARUTO. My apologies.

こんにちは。

最近、nobodyknows+のHero's Come Backを聴いたことをきっかけにNARUTOのアニメを見始めました、浦です。

2月の寮生日記です。

NARUTOは全く見たこと無いわけでは無いのですが、今改めてちゃんと見てみると驚かされることが沢山あります。

特に思ったのはアニメの30話です。大蛇丸とサスケが戦う話なのですが、戦闘シーンのアクションが見応えのある回でした。ですが、エンディングのクレジットを見てみると原画が3人しかいなかったことに開いた口が塞がりませんでした。このクオリティの作画をたった3人で描いたのかッ！？松本憲生さんは手が速いとは聞いたことはあったのですが、これ程までとは...と思いました。

動画を描くスピードが早いと原画を描くスピードも早くなるということはよく聞きます。が、最近は思ったよりも枚数が描けず苦戦しています。去年から動画のスピードが上がったようにあまり感じていないので少し焦りを感じています。

これからスピードを意識して仕事していきたいと思います。

NARUTOの話をしておきながら、絵はNARUTOではありません。スミマセン。
