IOS Subscription Billing + DONT PLEDGE THROUGH IOS APP
Added 2024-10-30 15:03:31 +0000 UTCNOTE: I’m not switching immediately, I want to see how November plays out first. This is just something to keep in mind moving forward so when I do inevitably have to make this change, it’s not on such short notice.
So, according to Patreon + Apples new policies I EVENTUALLY need to manually switch to subscription billing so they can keep their app in the iOS store. TBH, if you can avoid it, I’d recommend NEVER using the Patreon app to begin with, it’s so buggy and it will charge you more if you subscribe/resub to Patreon creators through the app. Please pledge through the desktop site to save yourself the money and the hassle! Those extra fees go to them, not the creators you’re pledged to. I do not recommend the app, therefor I do not consent to them making money off of my work.
This eventual change will not affect existing members! But if you’re one of the members that has to resub every once in a while, please remember to pledge through the site and not the app so you’re not charged extra. Any additional charges to your tier that you see through the app are NOT ones I have implemented or condone, that is all Apple and I’m 99% sure it can be avoided if you just use the website for pledging. Thankfully, my patreon is only a monthly subscription and not a pay-per-creation model like it used to be, so again, nothing would change for existing patrons. It’s just worth mentioning because I do know a lot of you have to repledge at the beginning of the month and it WILL cost you extra to do so through the iOS app, so please use the desktop site! This goes for all patrons you are pledged to, not just me!

I have some new ideas I want to start pitching to you guys once I get sorted again, it’s been a hazy year so I’m excited to see what you all think about new projects + oneshot formats + new characters + planning for Lucky! returning etc! I couldn’t do any of this without you all, I don’t say it enough. Thank you for supporting our comics and my little family. 💖

So if we've been a sub for a while and our subs don't show in our Apple account we're good, right? I don't even remember how I subbed so I want to make sure.

It’s scandalous that the money doesn’t come back to you! 😡 I'll be more careful 🙏 Otherwise I'm more than happy to be part of your members this month. You and your works are wonderful!! 🔥✨😍
