Clarificationsđ€
Added 2025-04-18 18:22:19 +0000 UTCHi lovelies, I was going through our debrief and decided to clarify more details as this book is a little deeper than most, and I donât want it to feel confusing.
To start, Monroe telling Liberty, sheâs not going to let her go. Libertyâs internal dialogue mentioned that Monroe always ends her arrangements first. She even saidâ
âWill I ever get away first?â
To Monroe, Liberty trying to end anything would means sheâs in control, not Monroe. Liberty is partially aware of this per her inner dialogue, so she appears fine with it.
It doesnât mean Monroe isnât deep in, as sheâs only kissed Liberty, but it goes to show that the control factor is still there.
That leads me to the next topic, since I see a lot of comments on here and Wattpad about them technically being in a relationship without a label.
Yes, thereâs a domestic dynamic, but we all know whoâs in control here. Itâs a purposeful power imbalance. In a relationship they would be on equal playing fields, something Monroe wouldnât want. So itâs essentially two different things here.
I think those are the only clarifications I wanted to make, just to make my work a little easier to understand. I might go through and do rewrites or clarify better in future chapters. Please leave any questions below, and Iâll try to answer them if they donât pertain to spoilers:)
Edit: I do want to add that Monroe has a preference with telling the truth. As sheâs said before: she finds no reason to lie. If anything she would tell the truth and manipulate what you think of it. So you can always trust that what she says is 100% truthful.
