im so happy you gave us a first listen for this absolute masterpiece of an album! im mostly here for bts reactions and got/ stranger things but this album is easily top 3 of the year for me. I love beyoncé so much her discography is immaculate. I‘d also (as many others commented) would LOVE to hear your thoughts on her 2016 album „Lemonade“ … it changed my life forreal. I‘ve been following her career as a fan since she debuted as a soloist and she managed to surprise me with Lemonade. like I knew she was versatile but this was another level of excellence… even if you‘re not down for a filmed reaction I recommend you give it a listen! anyways thanks for the upload as always i just love to see you experience great albums and vibe out

Loved the reaction! I’d love to see you do a deep dive into Beyoncé and her career. A lot of people know Bey from the radio singles but 90% of the time her singles aren’t anywhere close to being the best songs on her albums. And I truly believe her concerts/live performances are where you really get to witness the magic of Beyoncé. She always finds a way to bring her music to life on stage and constantly reinvents them for the performances. Crazy in love has been out for almost 20 years and she still manages to make it sound fresh every time she performs it.

let me tell you, I haven’t danced this hard while doing my chores since listening to LM’s Glory Days for the first time. I am very proud to say I threw some a** during Church Girl and somehow lasted til plastic off the sofa and virgo’s groove.. til the end of the album. I feel like the first half was kind of a warm up for me then church girl really turned it up for me lol It’s funny how all the vocal acrobatics Bey did do not make us freak and jump (just calmly and casually appreciating vvvvv hard while dancing), bc she’s freaking Beyonce. Of course she can do that in her sleep. Not to discredit all her hard work and training, but i mean, DUH, SHE’S BEYONCE.

I don't exactly know why disagreeing with your opinion, is being confused with not being ok with you having one, but ok. Everyone has a right to an opinion, and everyone has a right to disagree with an opinion, and voice that. I wasn't particularly disrespectful, either so...but either way, whatever.

I couldn't get that far into the album to those songs. But I just wanted to disagree and have my opinion. I couldn't hear her ok with all the weird sounds. Can't I just have that? I said I always loved Michael's reaction, he is always great. I just didn't jive with the album. Please just be ok with that.

I never said I wasn't okay with it. I am, but I do disagree with some of it. Like, I said, I understand not being into dance music. That's a subjective thing and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I was disagreeing about not hearing her voice. To me, that's a technical critique of the production, that I don't think is all that well supported by the music. When I listen, I hear her voice perfectly, and to me, that is a testament to how well it's mixed. That's all I was saying. I guess I can see the music being distracting because there are a lot of experimental sounds going on, so maybe her voice is harder to focus on. But I just thought that she had so many great vocal moments on the record, that I find it kind of hard to miss, especially on songs like Plastic Off The Sofa, and Virgo's Groove.

Dance music isn't for everyone. But the actual mixing of the music, technically speaking, is too objectively good, for me to agree that you can't hear her, on this project. Her voice is crystal clear, and she has many incredible vocal moments that definitely do not get drowned out by any music. So I can't roll with that take. but I can understand this type of music, not being some people's personal taste.

Also was watching a custom request video and noticed you mentioned Mac Miller - I think you would love love LOVE swimming which is the last album he released before his death. It’s so interesting and really deals with his mental struggles and demons in such a unique way

Yay! Loved your reaction, Michael! In COZY, when she’s mentioning the colors, she’s actually painting the Pride flag!!!! I never noticed it cause I always got stuck on her saying “Paint the world Pussy Pink” lol but it’s phenomenal. This entire album is phenomenal and I’m glad you gave it a chance!!! You should do Lemonade sometime in the future! It’s a masterpiece. Others have said it on Twitter, but this album feels like an entire affirmation. It’s so empowering and I truly feel there’s at least one song for everyone in this album!

America Has A Problem samples a song from the 90's (I believe) called America Has A Problem (Cocaine), which you can hear vocals from at the beginning of the song. Basically, the "problem" is drugs, which she compares her love to. I was initially confused by the title too, but it's just a reference to an old school song :)

So glad you reacted to this dance masterpiece! Just so you know, the album is dedicated to her uncle (who she referenced at the end of “HEATED”). He helped make early Destiny’s Child costumes, and dresses for Beyoncé when she was younger. He was also a gay man who unfortunately passed away from HIV complications when Bey was a teen. The whole album is a love letter to the LGBTQ+ community, as she sampled and featured many queer black artists and incorporated elements of the Ballroom scene that came out of New York in the ‘90s (e.g., ALIEN SUPERSTAR, HEATED, PURE/HONEY). Also, you were spot on about the writers. She used multiple samples in each song, so she credited absolutely everyone. All of that said, you MUST do “LEMONADE” next! The album AND the accompanying film!! 😂
