Even so, Toei could only work with what they had. Oda releases three chapters a month on average and they are fairly short. To make a complete twenty minute episode without adding naruto levels of filler does require to drag it out quite a bit.

If you guys don't enjoy this episode now, the pacing will only get worst from here lol. My only advice is try to not give into the pacing too much, just try to enjoy the story. At least you guys are able to binge it instead of watching it weekly back then. Boy, that was brutal. Toei animation definitely did the story wrong with the pacing. Just keep in mind that Oda is responsible for the manga, not the animation.

Pink hazard is a good arc. But the studio ruined the pacing. From here on now to maybe the latest arc. It’s gonna be shitty pacing

If Luffy and Zoro were there it would be a different story
2021-03-28 21:41:07 +0000 UTC
Nami running away depicted differently in the manga and the whole scene was 2 pages. less hesitation in the manga it felt like.

Oh I was sayin I don’t know if it is different here but if it’s not Oda messed up and if it is the studio did

I didnt start reading the manga til halfway through this arc so I dont know who's fuck up it is but this isn't consistant with Sanji's character at all especially with what we come to know of him. I get not wanting to fight unneccessarily when you dont know the facts and this group already got the better of you once by gassing you but the fact that the girl had to scream come back later then rather than Sanji or Nami or even chopper at least saying it implying they wouldnt just let them die is a mistake characterwise

Straw Hats aren't tryina be heroes u know. They are pirates. Plus they wanna know whats really going on before taking kids from some random place lol. Idk why you think that's stupid that it took some consideration before fighting back
Not fighting the minions fine but could risk the kids getting caught in the crossfire. There's a bit going on here. It could be as simple as fighting everyone and taking kids for the heck of it, but it wasn't

whats there to spoil if the events never transpired to begin with? but i will say, it will always be like this. animation and panels on a book are two different things, you need motion, music, and stillness sometimes to truly captivate a scenario otherwise its just empty. you need to add more context in an animation to even make sense out of a panel in a book otherwise it would end up choppy. repeating the same scenario is pretty stupid though when it just happened a few secs ago.

depending on the quantity. who could produce more. but for aokiji he would need to produce almost twice as much as akainu produces maybe. cause over time everything cools down. when you put just one cube on a cup of tea overtime it gets colder. sometimes a few 3-4 cubes can rapidly cool the tea. its no different here.

honestly that;s not even how the scene was supposed to go it's like the fluffy kaido fight in the anime that was not odas vision

Yeah this is not how it happened in the manga the anime just really dragged out that scene for some reason so don't be mad at the crew be mad at the animation studio if you want to confirm it's chapter 658

The minion thing aside, I believe your analysis of the situation with the kids is completely unfair

I think you missed the point that Franky had cause you were talking. He said how could we possibly take all these kids on the Sunny. While the kids are telling you help, for all you know their in a daycare, and then your kid napping. Also if we take them, were are we taking them, cause they will al have to be on our Ship, and that will delay the adventure. I agree with you guys and think the only person who would stop just off the bat would be Luffy.

They were running cause they don't know what's going on, if they always fight they just wasting fuel in their bodys. And they still pirates, they look out for themselves. If they knew more then for sure they would help, Zoro and Sanji would do the same thing, Luffy definitely does and gets involved with things that's what starts most of these arcs lol

Well Sanji has to take into account things that will put the crew in danger. It's something Zoro would do too. They need to plan out what they are gonna do. If it was Luffy yea he would be fuck it.

It’s 200% possible that aokiji would lose a fight fairly against his natural weakness 😂 magma does melt ice after all

Strawhats always run. They only fight when its necessary, There's always more minions, just like there's always more marines, there's no point fighting every one you come across.

Let me be that person who tries to justify their running at first. They're in unfamiliar territory and don't know the kids' story at all. They heard that they're sick, and removing kids from a care facility could be deadly. Just because the kids wanna leave doesn't mean that's what's best for them. But that's where the justification ends. There's still something clearly wrong with the place since they're being attacked, so at the very least they could gather information. Sanji wanting to ditch the kids completely was ruthless. There might be a reason to run temporarily, but not to abandon the kids

Bro they mentioned that the kids were sick. The smart decision there was to avoid just beating up some random guys when you don’t know the whole situation. For all they knew, “rescuing” the kids might have ended up killing the kids.
