Ya the issue with the math question is some people forget that division and multiplication are interchangeable and it depends which one comes first from left to right. So you do the bracket and then you do the division of 8/2 to get 4. Multiply both 4s to get 16. 16-16=0. If you do the multiplication first instead of the division then you would get 15. PEMDAS can be kinda a misleading rule in these situations if you just follow the letters to a tea and don't know the extra rules at play.

many people make this mistake bc they add (2+2) within the parenthesis first (as they should) but their brain then sees (4) and they think it's still parenthesis and goes first but in actuality, it's just a x4 and so you then have to go left to right. (but damn.....you're a shameful korean, watching you trying to calculate that was PAINFUL. Even at the point you had it at 16-1, you were reading it right to left and saying -15.) The MD and AS in PEMDAS doesn't mean strictly order, its a contraction of a set of orders so doing multiplication and division left to right then addition or subtraction left to right. PEMDAS is just a poor acronym, in reality it should be PEMorDAorS bc multiplication and division have the same mathematical power (both of which are one order higher than) addition and subtraction. Exponents are another degree higher than multiplication and division and parenthesis are weird bc it's a rhetoric (or language) visualization when trying to explain a calculation.

I learnt BIDMAS (Brackets, Indices, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction). So division comes before multiplication but after searching it up it doesnt matter and its more about working left to right and just making sure to divide/multiply before you add/subtract
