Yeah, honor walks really helps the families as well. They are already grieving and filled with so many disheartening emotions. They definitely show appreciation for us atleast giving them a little more peace before they separate from their loved ones.

2025-02-26 04:24:12 +0000 UTCOh gosh that would be so stressful!!! It's tough enough getting emails from the boss about stuff, but when it's about saving lives and budgeting... I can't even imagine. I mean, I've never had a "singing emergency" before. lol It can be high stress but it's not life and death... unless it's the opera. Then death of some sort is usually involved. haha 😂

For the patients who pass away and the family decides to donate their organs, where i work they always do something we call, “an honor walk”. What they do is gather all healthcare workers across the hospital (who are able to take time for a break) and everyone stands on either side of a hallway while the donor gets wheeled down the hallway to honor their sacrifice and donation.

2025-02-25 23:26:36 +0000 UTCOmg, the part about the audit email, i feel it. i hate audits. But i know they are necessary for the hospitals to stay in tip top shape. And the equivalent to what we deal with specifically for my dept is accreditation. It can be so stressful. 😮💨 Our ACR coordinator stay sending emails to each tech separately on what protocols we have to follow and that we need to improve on. We had a meeting and he was like, “if you keep getting emails on how your imaging is and need to fix, don’t feel i’m picking on you. Everyone is getting these emails just to be aware. I know you all are following the protocols. But i just want to be sure to have options to send to accreditation.” And then one of my other coworkers was like, “so i can feel better now that i don’t have to cry in the bathroom on my breaks for being a bad tech? 😂” He started laughing and said, “no. You all are doing awesome. Don’t worry 😂” we all started laughing and sighing in relief. Because we all thought we were the only ones doing a poor job and was gonna get fired eventually because we thought we were doing horrible. 😂
