Resident Playbook ep07 Reaction!

YES! We knew we recognized him!!! That's cool that they acted with each other in a movie before! That's a cool little easter egg for fans. We haven't seen either movie of The Witch or Part 2, so thanks for telling us! That's cool to know. And yeah, that part bothered us too. They absolutely needed to tell her. I'm glad it all worked out, but yeah, there could've been some major issues there if they had gone through with it without her knowledge.

There was a lot to unpack in this episode. We saw our first-year residents really trying to stand their ground and push back, even if they sometimes went a little too far. And Oh Yi-young totally stepped up again when it mattered most, even though she was scared stiff. And Professor Seo, being the great teacher she is, definitely noticed that. It was awesome to see Ik-sun again. I loved her in Hospital Playlist! And yep, that other doctor in the ER with her was also from Hospital Playlist, though he was only in Season 1. He was the one who had a crush on Song-hwa. There was a super cute little callback to Hospital Playlist when they zoomed in on his sandals. Those were the exact same ones Song-hwa gave him! The actor who played Nam-kyung's boyfriend was actually in the movie The Witch Part 2 with Shin Si-ah (the actress who plays Nam-kyung here). He played Park Eun-bin's brother, and he becomes friends with Shin Si-ah's character in the movie. So, it was a cool little reunion for them! The whole part where they tried to hide the cancer diagnosis and surgery from the old lady always bothers me. Maybe things are different in Korea, but as far as I know, here in the US, doctors legally can't withhold medical info from a patient unless they're not able to make their own decisions. I'm pretty sure HIPAA gives patients the right to their medical info. Plus, it just feels totally unethical.
