I just LOVE the fact that they take food and turn it into something that makes people feel good, because it really is like that in real life. I've had to adjust to my own diet since I became vegan and gluten-free about 10 years ago, so in the beginning it was really difficult to find food that would be good for my health AND would taste good to me, but once I found proper ingredients and started cooking more, I found the joy that food and cooking it gave me. That's part of the reason why I love this drama too~ The competition! Let me tell you, when I watched it for the first time, my eyes were glued to the tv the entire time the competition was going on, it was just that good! I really love the Ming cooks. They are just so passionate about their craft the entire time (I won't say anything more about them, you'll just have to watch) 🙏 And the moment at the market was so good! (And the song I mentioned played at the end of that scene when the king put the flowers in the vase. My heart just melts whenever I hear that song~ Doyoung is absolutely one of my favorite vocalists and people in kpop. I've been a big fan of NCT, his group since their beginning) I also love the fact that Jiyeong is starting to open more to him, and he's starting to let go of that pride he's had as a king. And the hurt that he's had from his mother's situation is starting to heal a little too. I mean, not many kings would've crouched down and touched dirty flowers, let alone kept them. And the fact that he's the one who wrote the book just makes my heart skip a few beats. It really was meant to be 🥰 I like that in this show, they're not shying away of what he's done, but they also show that people are capable of change, and that their environments and the people they have around them affect them so much. Many people who are in the wrong path just need the love and help of someone who tries to understand them, but also puts them in their place when they are wrong. I can't wait to see your reactions to the next 6 episodes, they're so good! In my opinion at least 😇

I really like both versions too, but I gotta say I'm partial to BTS. lol Fun how they put that in bc she wanted to go back home so bad! lol It was a fun scene!

2025-10-11 03:13:08 +0000 UTCThe song Ji-yeong was singing when she was wasted at the start of the episode was "Come Back Home" by Seo Taiji and Boys. But most young people know it as a BTS song. I think BTS changed the second verse when they covered it. I've also seen TXT perform it. I still like the original version by Seo Taiji and Boys the best. BTW, I only got into Seo Taiji a few years ago when I watched Reply 1994.
