Right!?!? The historical dramas tend to have endings that are just much too "realistic" for me, but that's what happens when stories are based on actual history! I'm so glad this drama was healing for you! The food and the softness and the romance was a great combination that resonated with a lot of people. And yes!!! The ripped page! Some others have suggested a possible Season 2, but I think it left us with enough of a taste of what happens that there probably won't be one. But there are always more to watch! So yes, can't wait to watch the next one with you too Krista!

My mind kept going back to the drama, "Rebel, Thief Who Stole the People" and the same events from a more realistic perspective. Seeing the difference was so interesting, and I still loved this story and the reformed tyrant king! I was so suprised by how well Chaemin did. It was INCREDIBLY well done.

You can see that he put every ounce of emotion into that scene. I really wanted to see everyone in the future too but maybe they'll come later~ The ripped page was my answer too, since it floated down to him. It was really awesome to watch this with you guys and I can't wait for the next one! 🙏

He’d evicted thousands to build his private hunting ground, the Salgoji Forest — the very place where Ji-yeong first meets him. He was already bringing hundreds of women from across the country to his palace, just as we saw in the opening episodes. The real king’s half-brother, who took the throne after the revolt, was a puppet ruler for a time — at least until those who led the uprising were gone. (Fun fact: Park Min-young actually played his wife - the titular Queen - in Queen for Seven Days!) The conversation between Ji-yeong and the deposed King when he was being transported in a cage was a throwback to one of the early episodes when Ji-yeong was being transported to the palace. When kids threw rocks at her, he had said "How dare they harm something that belongs to me?" This time when the people were throwing rocks at him, she said the exact same words to him. Honestly, I would’ve loved to see how the king reacted to the modern world after his time travel — that part felt like a missed opportunity. Still, I didn’t expect to love this drama as much as I did. And the chemistry between Yoona and Chae-min? Wow. Something I didn’t know I needed until now. 💫
