It’s so crazy…. Really sad! The real king wasn’t a good guy but the people around him weren’t good either and helped feed his grief and rage. Horrible. Story wise, I’m so sad that it was twisted the way it was and all that sadness happened!

I like how they tried to make the circumstances behind the king's mother's deposition and execution by poison close enough to being historically accurate. The Queen, who was a concubine herself before becoming the Queen, was said to be very jealous of other concubines. She had even poisoned one of the concubines to death. She had also attacked and scratched the King. That was the reason the Queen Dowager (current Grand Queen Dowager) had her deposed, exiled and later forced to drink poison. The only differences being that the person who showed him these evidences was the Im guy - he is made a Royal Secretary in the drama but he was just some high ranking court official. And the king's maternal grandmother was not a Consort, but she was a noblewoman.
