THATS SO TRUE!!! We didn't even THINK about the "Crash Landing Reunion!" hahaha Very true though! And yes, the mandatory 3rd act break up is really annoying and not a trope we generally like. But as you say! At least it didn't last long!

In rom-coms, they always get back together after the 'mandatory' breakup, but I still don't like it when they go through the breakup period. And doesn't this drama feel like a *Crash Landing On You* reunion of sorts? We've had Captain Ri's mom and the North Korean wiretapper since the beginning, and now we also have Yoon Se-ri's evil sister-in-law in the mix for the last few episodes. And she's just as evil in this one too!
