I think the contrast of Judge Kang Yohan and Jung Sunah is so interesting. Like I said in my last comment I mostly disagree with Yohan‘s methods and if this were an ideal world there would be no need for it but this is not an ideal world so maybe what he’s doing is not actually that bad? Since although he has an ulterior motive it seems to be for the greater good. But then you once again have to ask the question whether the end justifies the means. Now when it comes to Jung Sunah, we see her as this evil villain but I don’t think the two are that different from each other. Both know that the law is unjust and corrupt and they play dirty. The difference is that she is in it for herself and not to “save the world” which is what Kang Yohan said he was doing. But I can’t find myself blaming her with everything we know about her, she’s a product of her surroundings to some degree. Think of all the things she told the girls in that lecture, how the law would never be on their side and how you have to take it into your own hands to get justice if you can call it that. It appears that she gathered evidence on what Chairman Seo was doing to her (and maybe others) and held it over his head to take over in the company. But judging from the expression on her face when she finally stabbed him it seems that none of that ever was enough, when she took his life I thought I saw relief on her face that she could finally free herself from him. So while what she’s doing may be bad I can’t help but understand and feel compassion for her in some ways, after all she‘s learned very early on that no one is on her side and she is the only one who can and will save herself.
