The bell curve that is The Life of Franklin Saint is absolutely astounding as is the sheer amount of utter destruction that he left in his wake. And, of course, one of the saddest parts is that we leave him exactly where we found his father, as a homeless drunk with a son who is (hopefully) living a better life without him.

My dad had a lot of work running a nonprofit and being a preacher, with me as the number 1 soldier, dealing with the ramifications of what the CIA did to South Central, introducing Crack, giving us work... I always saw Snowfall as a amazing period piece of my hometown. Yes we lived adjacent to the hood... In Koreatown, but that was so we can sleep at night without fear of gunshots comin' from niggas spinning the block for some stupid shit. Ma dad's office, right on Crenshaw, and that's home for me friends...
