Ah, season five. What happens in season five? (re-checks the wiki) Oh, yes... *starts laughing maniacally*.

Now that we've finally reacted to this episode, I can finally comment about a character/acting choice that I've been loving without spoiling anything!
Jason's voice work for Viren in TDP has been phenomenal (duh)! Even though it's the same man, you can hear how different Viren is across the seasons. Jason's line delivery gets progressively grittier, even for what would be considered casual conversation, as he lets himself be corrupted by Aaravos/dark magic. Throughout S1-3 you can slowly hear the change, but then S4 hits and suddenly it's like his voice becomes noticeably lighter/smoother/calmer. My personal interpretation has been that it's because he wasn't as affected by dark magic as before

Callum lost a lot of his personality post S3, and just became a simp post S4.

I meant "unquestioning trust", but I'm not even sure if that's grammatically correct xD

I don't know how I feel about the whole thing with Rayla. I mean, his uncondional trust is cute and all, but I feel like it's a bit one sided. Like, Rayla doesn't trust him enough to just ask him for the keys. She doesn't trust him to even tell him what's up, yet Callum trusts her literally with his lifr. I feel like she gets to make all these mistakes that irl, we would pass off as toxic (leaving without saying goodbye, disregarding his emotions, hiding the truth and going behind his back) but never actually suffers any consequences. It's like no matter what she does, things in their relationship always end up peachy and the show barely touches her behaviour as wrong or questionable. To me, Callum's unquestionable trust comes off more as a lack of self preservation. He doesn't seem to see himself worthy of having his feelings respected, and it's sad to watch. It may not be the intention of the show, but it's what I'm seeing watching all of it unfold.

"Why is this thing mimicking her every move?" I actually think it *is* to freak you out.
"It actually makes more sense than library." Yeah, but only because they don't have Romans and Latin on that world...

Yay one of my favorites! Domina is such a beautiful dragon. Lots of set up in this episode for later events, most don’t pay off until season 6 or 7 but it’s absolutely worth the wait. Nice catch with the human in the coin! He is connected to Viren and I am very much looking forward to you seeing more about him.
Sparklepuff did say “Blood of Child,” terribly creepy. He is voiced by Aaron Ehasz, one of the creators!
This season is a blast! I hope you enjoy it, lots of good stuff coming.

Season 4 got some complaints of being overly juvenile in its attempts to appeal more to kids, but thankfully it’s generally agreed this season fixed that.
