Chapter 24: Putting a Queen in her place

[3rd POV]

Sitting across from Emma as she sipped on a beer, Wanda watched with a chuckle as the woman let out a sigh at the taste.

“Damn this is good. Where’d you get it?” Emma asked, taking another sip of it. She had tried a lot of beer in her life, thanks to being a teenager in the past, but she had never had something as good as this one.

“I made it. Quite easy to do” Wanda replied with a smile, as she had used her power to make quite literally the perfect beer imaginable, as it would taste different depending on the preferences of the drinker, making it the most delicious beer out there for anyone, no matter what types they preferred.

“Of course you did, why am I not even surprised?” Emma said with a snort, shaking her head in exasperation. With the little she had talked with Wanda, she had seen that the woman was well beyond anything she had ever encountered, and it wasn’t even remotely surprising that she was capable of making some beer that tasted really good.

“You should try the stuff I bake. It’ll change your life” Wanda replied with a giggle, as the woman sighed.

“Fine, fine, can I just get a blueberry muffin?” Emma asked, as Wanda smirked, holding her hand out as a plate with a muffin flew over and onto the table that they sat at. The muffin was freshly baked and smelt absolutely divine, it was Wanda’s personal favorite for breakfast.

“…How much?”

“2 dollars” Wanda said with a smile, as she made all of her bakery goods and drinks cheap, mostly because they were easy to make, and she liked to make it affordable for everyone. She had even begun to give some out to the local orphanage in Gotham when she could, as the hero in her quite enjoyed the cute reactions the kid would give.

“That’s…pretty cheap” Emma replied with a slight look of surprise, before handing Wanda the two dollars, as Wanda sent them off to the cash register.

All money that Wanda made was either used to buy books in the native world, or donated to people that actually…you know, needed money. She was going to eventually find a way to use the currency for something a bit more progressive, and had a few ideas in regards to currency and money.

One such idea involved playing God on a scale she hadn’t yet done. By giving her a form of entertainment to watch while running her store, a multiverse chat group of her own creation, with rewards and all.

She was still contemplating if she actually wanted to go through with that idea or not, as it could also become annoying. She decided to wait until she got more customers, and gained some more forms of magic.

Watching as Emma took a bite of the muffin, she let out a soft gasp of joy at the taste, before taking another bite as she let out a low moan at the taste. Wanda watched with amusement in her eyes as the woman devoured the muffin, her son and Regina watching on the side with weird looks on their faces.

“Swan, what in the hell are you doing?” Regina asked, causing Emma to blink several times as she shook out of her mini food orgasm session, and turned to Regina.

“I was enjoying the greatest thing I have ever put in my mouth, that’s what. Seriously Regina, you have to try this” Emma said, as she slapped another 10 dollars onto the table, Wanda chuckling at the action as another 5 muffins floated over, this time including 2 chocolate ones, which Emma perked up at the sight of.

“Go ahead and try” Emma said, smirking as she watched them look down, before they both bit into the muffins, and let out a laugh as they both had a similar reaction to Emma, albeit more, well, appropriate in the case of Henry.

“Gods you were not wrong…” Regina muttered as she bit into the muffin again with a gleeful expression on her face, as it felt as if she was eating her fathers baking from the past, like all the love and happiness she needed was filling her up.

“Glad you like them so much. They’re quite literally made out of love and happiness after all” Wanda said with a smile, pleased to see that they liked them. The muffins were literally imbued with the emotions of love and happiness, making anyone who ate them feel those emotions, and in a similar fashion to the love they liked the most in their lives.

“That explains the warmth” Emma muttered, looking down at the muffins with slight awe, as she hadn’t felt that sort of love in a long, long time. The happiness it brought was…a lot, and not in a bad way, thankfully enough. It brought her back to happier times, times from quite a while ago, back when life had been simpler. But it had also reminded her of recent times, times with her son, with her friends, with…a certain Evil Queen.

“Looks like you’ve chosen your books? Let’s see them then” Wanda said, as she walked over to the counter, before looking over the three books that Henry had chosen, smiling at the selection.

“Tales of the Timelords, History of Demonic Tales, and The History of Vampires, Werewolves, and Witches? Quite the selection you’ve got here kid. But, a deal's a deal, you’re welcome to take them” Wanda said with a smile, a little surprised by the picks, but didn’t mind either way.

Looking over the Queen's choices, she noticed that they were all magical in nature, and quite a few of them included some pretty nasty curses from the TVD universe. There had also been a book on the basic spells of Harry Potter, and a bit more.

“Not a bad selection. So, will you be paying through cash, knowledge, or books?” Wanda asked, only to stop as she noticed the look on Regina’s face.

“How about you put these on my ta-“ “Don’t try to mess with me, Little Queen. I didn’t mind the arrogance before because I found it amusing, but it becomes a bore when you do it so much” Wanda stopped her, a glare of annoyance on her face as Regina stopped.

To Regina, it felt as if the entire world had been pressed down upon her, as if all her darkest, deepest, horrid fears all began to assault her at the same time. But she could also feel Wanda’s killing intent, quite literally. It was stained with the lives of untold numbers, thousands, hundreds of thousands of billions, an uncountable number of people had died by Wanda’s hands, and Regina couldn’t help but shake slightly underneath it.

It made her mothers glare and Rumpelstiltskin’s look like childsplay, like the glare of a newborn puppy.

“K-Knowledge” Regina struggled out, as Emma and Henry both looked alarmed at the reaction, only to look to Wanda as she smiled and stopped glaring.

“Great! I’ll be taking your knowledge in dark arts, alright? If it’s better than I am expecting, then you’ll receive store credit” Wanda said with an eye smile, the woman nodding slowly as Wanda effortlessly looked through her mind, before copying all the dark arts within and “pasting them” in her own mind.

Looking through the years worth of knowledge, she hummed. It was actually a bit impressive, some of the curses. And she had to admit that the whole heart thing was going to be useful in the future. With her being able to rip the heart out of someone without actually killing them, and then controlling them through the heart. It was going to be used in the future, she imagined.

“This’ll be good for a total of 13 books, as long as they’re not the super expensive ones. You’ve got 8 here so you’ll have five more next time, alright? And please try not to undermine me again, I will be kind and nice to you, as long as you treat me with respect, alright?” Wanda said, looking at the Queen who was obviously shaken by the experience.

“A-Alright, I apologize for the way I have been acting” Regina replied, as Wanda just waved her off, not all that mad, just a little annoyed, and she’d prefer not to be annoyed in her own store.

“Mmmmkway that’s enough for today, see you Wanda!” Emma said with a fake smile as she dragged the woman she 100% “Didn’t” have a crush on, and her son, out of the shop.

“…Suppose that was a natural reaction” Wanda hummed, before shrugging, deciding she didn’t care that much at the moment, only to blink as the shop doors opened once again, this time new figures stepping in. These ones caught her eye as she raised an eyebrow, a small smirk forming on her face as she gazed at them all. There were 4 of them, 2 women, 2 men.

“Your grace, should we really be in here? We have no idea what sort of witchcraft is at work here!” The man exclaimed, as he gazed at the regal looking woman.

“A door has appeared in the middle of my throne room, Ser Barristan, and I’d like to know how and why it has” The woman said with a no nonsense tone, as Wanda grinned, before speaking, as the four people all noticed her standing there.

“Can’t say I was expecting someone like you in here…” Wanda trailed off, as she gazed at the pale hair of the woman in front of her, before finishing her sentence.

“Targaryen”

Thought I’d add in a more medieval world to the mix, and with my current love of HOTD and GOT, I thought this might be a good choice.

Next chapter will have the interactions with Daenerys, and the chapter afterwards will have Wanda traveling around the world a bit, causing some mayhem, even if on accident.

The vault chapter should be coming tonight, but we’ll see.
