Them changes + FutaShy Test animation

Well we're 3 months into the new year already! I think it's time we start discussing some changes that I've been thinking about for the past few months now.

For starters-

I want to start focusing on animations again. Or rather, more so on animations than posters/sets.

I haven't posted very many animations at all lately and that's all because of my posting schedule. I've dedicated myself to working on a poster at least once every day for the past 4 to 5 months now. (Single pics, sets, and wips alike)

But I wanna try and spice things up now. Many and I mean MANY people have been asking to see animations from me. And I want to deliver. But I'm still very much at a novice level of animation. Meaning I can't quite pump out animations at the speed of some of the bigger animation artists out there. So I can't quite promise how many animations I can produce per month at this very moment but my GOAL is to do at LEAST 3 a month. Again, this is not a guarantee, just a goal. I feel the more time I work on anims, the better I'll get.

So here's a somewhat short Q & A for people who have questions on the upcoming changes

Q: What does this mean for posters/sets?

A: It means I'll be toning it down quite a bit with how many posters/sets I'll be making per month. From 3 a week to possibly 1 a week. BUT with that being said-

ALL posters/sets will be available to ALL paid members. Big changes, yes. One that friends and members alike have all told me they feel paying $12 for more images is a bit steep. On top of that, I've seen members both new and old, cancelling their memberships most likely because of this steep pricing. So while I WILL be reducing the amount of posters/sets I make per month going forward, I'll also be using that extra time for working on animations.

Q: What does this mean for the $12 "I love your stuff" tier?

A: The tier will be mostly unchanged. The only main difference will be that animations will only be viewable to members of the "I love your stuff" tier and up. So feel free to stay at the $12 tier to not miss out on any animations; Or if you need to- Downgrade to "I like your stuff" if you only want to see art pics from me. (Or join if you're a free member now that seeing all my pics is a bit more affordable)

Q: And every other tier?

A: Unaffected for the most part. $18 "I NEED your stuff" will still be getting WIPS of both pics/sets and animations as well. For animations it'll most likely be a few still frames of the animation itself. But WIPS MAY be reduced to once per week. When? I'm not sure as of now but I'm leaning towards every Wednesday. Once I feel a bit more comfortable with animations, I may even post a WIP version of the complete anim. As in before lighting and small details. "Cryo's 9" tier and up will remain the same. Though the Food & Bill support tier will get a small nerf to comm discounts from 25% to 20%.

Q: When will this all take effect?

A: Starting April 2nd (You know why lmao) But will all these changes be set in stone? Not at all. Anything and everything is subject to change in the near or far future. We're currently in an experimental phase and we'll all see how well things work out together.

Q: How long does it take for you to work on animations and how often will you be posting them?

A: Like I mentioned before, I'm still a tad bit new at animating but I've done it before. It's a very simple process but it takes a TON of refining to get it to look good. Sometimes it takes me a few hours to get a few seconds of animation done. But the goal is still do at least 3 a month in between also doing the occasional pics/sets as well. So about 1 animation every 10 days.

Q: I'm a paid member. Does this mean I'll have access to all of your art now?

A: Going forward into April 2nd, yes. Anything prior to that date will still be locked behind its current tier. Mainly because there is SO much art I need to go through and would need to edit each and every single pic, I would probably lose track of which I have and haven't done so it's just saving me the headache- I may try editing a few pics but don't expect EVERYTHING to be viewable.

Q: Will tier prices ever change?

A: I can promise they won't go up. But I have thought of possibly lowering them. No official date on when but it won't be anytime soon. Maybe if my animations get the ball rolling and bring in new people sure but nothing solid for now.

Q: Can I have an example of one your animations?

A: I've linked one of my recent test animations to this post. I'd love to hear what you all think about it!

Q: How long will your animations be?

A: No clue. I need to fine tune the secret formula, sponge boy me-bob. As in, I need to see what works better for me. Short loops or slightly longer animations with a beginning, middle and end.

Q: What about over on your Subscribe Star?

A: As always, Subscribe Star currently serves as a backup in case my patreon ever gets Axed by The Patreon team. 9 out of 10 times both sites get the same posts. But with that being said, these changes will take effect on both Patreon and Substar on April 2nd.
