Do you guys remember Ray Penber's fiancΓ©? She mentioned that she did a case for L in the past, there is a light novel where she is working for him. Solving an intriguing case in L.A. I believe it's called "Death Note Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases". However, there is no death note in this novel. But it is an interesting tale about Penber's fiancΓ© solving a case for L.

You know it's going to be depressing when it's anime and the protagonist is the bad guy.
