This album is certainly a grower - I had to listen to multiple tracks on repeat my first listen to actually make up my mind on how I feel about this. Icarus Falls is long, but definitely worth your time just for the experience. It's definitely his most interesting album. Mind of Mine is a very strong debut album, and his most popular, so it would be fun to delve into his other works.

But unfortunately, maybe the youtube format will corrupt the experience. But I enjoy Zayn's experimental side, it's an interesting mix of Western and Middle eastern influences.

2021-01-19 15:39:05 +0000 UTCI was very disappointed by this album. Up until now 'Mind of Mine' was the only good album he has done solo. 'Icarus Falls' has a few good tracks but is way too long. So please check out 'Mind of Mine' - it was produced by Malay as well - who works with Frank Ocean a lot!
