Time quickly passed, it was already club time, he directly went to the swimming pool after saying goodbye to his friends, it didn’t take him a long time to arrive, as he arrived. 

He greeted his clubmates which consist only of girls, with a smile It’s been a full week since he last saw them, except Hibiki since they already met a while ago, after seeing him everyone except for Hibiki gathered around him and started saying.

“Tachibana-san! You’re okay!”

“Are your injuries healed?”

“Wow you're a really tough Tachibana guy, you’re still alive after being ganged up on! You’re really my idol!”

More or less, they said similar or the same thing as my classmates did after I came back,  and I answered with similar words, after I satisfied their curiosity, the club president called them to start practicing, however, she really put a distance between us huh?

She wasn’t even looking at me, she was avoiding me every time our faces met. I thought, ‘Damn If I didn't know the reason why she’s avoiding me. I would surely have thought that she hates me now, but since I do, this is rather troublesome. If she’s too obvious about it the club members would notice, still, she’s embarrassed huh...ahem- she’s cute.’

So we started our training, since I worked out like crazy my speed increased again and I broke my record by at least a few seconds, still far off from the world record but I’m improving! 

Since I broke my record again, my clubmates' admiration for me has risen once more. Even though I was hospitalized for a week, the fact that my speed didn’t decrease was already shocking, yet I broke my record once more even though I was injured.

Even Hibiki was shocked by this, however, she still couldn’t face him properly! She would become embarrassed meeting his eyes, if I leave this be there is a high chance that she would ignore me for a long time until her feelings decrease and that is something I should avoid.

As soon as I finished my practice. I immediately approached Hibiki and said,

“Tsukihara-senpai, wait can I have some of your time?”

Her body jolted after hearing my words, then she replied while looking somewhere else.

“Not now...I-i'm busy instructing my members!”

Hibiki was making excuses, and she was aware, but she couldn’t help it! It was something that she couldn’t stop. This was a first-time experience for her, so she doesn’t know how to handle this kind of situation.

“I see, then I will wait for you after you finish instructing them,” I said, even though I know she’s making an obvious excuse.

“O-okay, sure! B-but It might take a long time, so you should probably go!” Hibiki was making a complicated face as she said that, she thought. ‘I’m being rude to him right now! Why can’t I just act naturally like nothing happened?’

“....Senpai is it from before? If it was then. I’m sorry I didn’t know I offended you with my words, but please don’t hate me for it.” Even though I don’t want to use this emotional trick since this is rather dirty. I have to since I have a feeling that this issue wouldn’t be solved If I don’t make a move.

The less the drama, the better it is.

“A-ah no! I-i didn’t mean to….” Hibiki is now facing me with a guilty expression, then she continued.

“I don’t hate you, it was me who couldn’t act normal...I-i didn’t know how to face you after what happened this noon..”

“Really? Thank god! I thought you hated me for real..that scared me...pweh-” I sigh in relief, this was an act, of course, it was necessary to make it natural.

“T-t-there is no way I would hate you, such a thing is...I-impossible…” Hibiki said and continued the sentence inside her mind. ‘Because you're the first guy to call me beautiful…’ 

She blushed a little while thinking that.

I saw her thoughts, and I know I shouldn’t say this since this makes me a scum but….I’m saying it inside my mind….

‘Omg, she’s so easy! If someone other than me said the same thing, she would probably react the same, this kind of girl is someone unaware of their charms, and they get moved by a simple word of flattery, this kind of girls are easy to get, they are only second to those hentai girls who wouldn’t even fight back when they get r*ped! This is rude but, yeah she’s that kind of woman that would fall for someone with simple flattery and that is if you do it in the right place and timing, anyone could do it. But I’m glad that before anyone else could do the same thing as I did to her. I’m glad I was the first. I don’t want any man to lay a finger on her, selfish but I want her for myself.’

“But Tsukihara-senpai, what I said before was true, you're beautiful. You might not know this but from the moment I met you for the first time. I was attracted to you, I wasn’t expecting the president of the swimming club to be this beautiful, and later on, I was shocked to know that you don’t have a boyfriend a beauty of your caliber doesn't have a girlfriend? The guys must've been blind.” I said my real thoughts, those are genuine and not a lie.

“S-stop...p-please st-stop talking…”

I looked at her once again, but she was already covering her face. It might have been just my imagination but. I can literally see smoke coming out from her head!

I thought. ‘Crap! Did I overdid it?’

Then I looked at her status once more, and after taking a look I was speechless.

Holy shit, what’s with this status?

“Tsukihara-senpai? Are you okay?” I was honestly concerned.

“......Y-yes...Hey Tachibana-kun...will you kindly leave for today?”

“But…”

“Please?”

“U-umm okay?” I don’t know what is happening anymore, even with my decent size brain couldn’t process anything, I decided to give her a break. I probably overdid it this time.

I left after she asked me to,

After Junichi was gone, Hibiki's knees gave up, she became extremely weak for a reason, her face was red as a tomato, her heartbeat rate was off the charts, she heard it clearly because of how loud it was

She slowly touched her chest and said. “Am I such an easy woman? I can’t believe it with those few words of flattery. Did I fell in love with him? This doesn’t make any sense...no...I’m not an easy woman, it's just he said the words that I wanted to hear the most at the right time and moment...ugh what should I do now? This is the first time I fell in love with a guy...my mind is filled with his image…’

Suddenly a club member approached her and said,

“President? Are you okay?”

“Yeah..actually no...tell your clubmates that we are going home early today. I want to rest.”

“Okay president! I’ll do it!”

The club member happily left to tell the news of going early from training today, this was a rare day after all.
