Hahaha… good thing I didn’t promise a specific release date XD Guess what: pipe burst in my kitchen. I just had the WEIRDEST situation ever — I’m sitting in my studio, drawing Gogo crawling across the floor in lingerie, while a handyman is literally BREAKING OPEN MY WALL and digging out the pipes. XDDD So yeah, apparently the pipes were installed in two completely different ways in different parts of the house. Ö-Ö Höhöhöhö…

Anyway! I’m REALLY happy with how this one turned out, so I spent a little extra time polishing up the colors. I might even do a proper full-color version someday — soft pastels, detailed shoes, the whole thing. :3

I’ve wanted to draw one of those “classic” submissive pin-up style poses for a while — Gogo on the floor, Derek only visible from the legs down. There’s something so psychologically sexy about that visual! The contrasts: floor/standing, exposed/fully dressed… I’ve seen a few versions of this kind of image before, and this time it just clicked! :D

It feels like my style is shifting a little again — maybe leaning into something more aesthetic, a bit more floral? XD I’m really enjoying it! Ideally, I’d love to land on something that’s cute, sexy and a little edgy. When I was younger, I always aimed for that look — but then I leaned more heavily into shōnen style for the publisher manga I worked on. Partly because I love shōnen facial expressions! XD But lately I’ve been having more fun weaving in softer, playful elements again.

And OMG — I’ve found this amazing pencil for sketching??? I actually had it for a while, saved under the name “perfect pencil”… and then… never used it. HOW DUMB CAN YOU BE? X,,,D Anyway, I love that it’s soft but not too soft — it just feels right when I’m working shapes out slowly. When a pencil is too hard, I get nervous about diving in on the blank canvas. :,D And that white, empty canvas… always scary. TuT

Hahaha… wie gut, dass ich keinen bestimmten Tag versprochen hab XD Guess what: Rohrbruch in meiner Küche. Ich hatte gerade die MERKWÜRDIGSTE Situation überhaupt – ich sitz hier in meinem Arbeitszimmer, lass Gogo in Lingerie über den Boden kriechen, während ein Handwerker NEBEN MIR DIE WAND AUFSTEMMT und die Rohre freilegt. XDDD Also ja, offenbar wurden an zwei Stellen im Haus Rohre auf komplett unterschiedliche Weise verlegt. Ö-Ö Höhöhöhö…

Aber egal! Ich bin SEHR happy mit dem Ergebnis und hab’s deshalb auch nochmal ein bisschen liebevoller coloriert. Vielleicht mach ich irgendwann sogar ’ne richtige Coloration drauf, so richtig mit Pastellfarben und aufwändig gerenderten Schuhen. :3

Ich wollte schon länger mal so ein “klassisches” Motiv zeichnen, bei dem Gogo am Boden ist und man von Derek nur die Beine oder Füße sieht. Ich find das irgendwie psychologisch total sexy! Diese ganzen Kontraste: Unten/oben. Entblößt/angezogen. Ich hab solche Motive schon öfter gesehen und jetzt hat es einfach perfekt gepasst! :D

Ich hab auch das Gefühl, mein Stil entwickelt sich gerade wieder in eine etwas “ästhetischere”, blumigere Richtung? XD Und es macht mir gerade riesig Spaß! Am liebsten hätte ich so einen Stil, der süß ist, sexy und gleichzeitig ein bisschen edgy. Als junge Zeichnerin war das immer mein Ziel, aber für die Verlagsmanga hab ich den Stil eher in Richtung Shōnen gedrückt. Auch, weil ich Shōnen-Gesichtsausdrücke so liebe! XD Aber momentan hab ich wieder voll Bock auf feinere, verspieltere Elemente.

UND ich hab einen so tollen Bleistift zum Skizzieren gefunden??? Ich hatte den schon länger, sogar als “perfect pencil” abgespeichert… und dann… nicht benutzt.

WIE BLÖD KANN MAN SEIN? X,,,D

Ich liebe daran, dass er weich ist, aber nicht zu weich. Es fühlt sich richtig gut an, damit Formen langsam zu erarbeiten. Wenn ein Bleistift zu hart ist, hab ich immer Angst, auf der weißen Leinwand direkt reinzuballern. :,D Diese weiße Fläche ist immer so einschüchternd. TuT
