.....oh my god.....I think Urasawa MIGHT have awakened my nose-appreciation with Monster and Pluto. *mind blown* I feel so seen, hahaha!! Ahhh, that is interesting with the Revelations passage! I wonder if it details the different facets of "the monster" in us and what we follow/adhere to? It definitely makes me want to re-watch Monster and analyze it more! :P Thank you for the comment and the information!! I'm glad you got to at least see our shenanigans on here!

2024-06-16 13:18:07 +0000 UTCHate that I missed this, it looks like it was a lot of fun! My main take away was that Urasawa gave Romania Black a big nose fetish. Edit: Also, I just learned this today. Monster opens with a quote from Revelations 13:1-4 but actually omits part of it. Here is the full section: 13 And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. 2 And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bearโs, and its mouth was like a lionโs mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority. 3 One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast. 4 And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, โWho is like the beast, and who can fight against it?โ
